The anti-catabolic amino acid tyrosine is an excellent energizer and strengthens the activity of neurotransmitters (transmitters of nerve impulses). Physical exertion, such as training, lowers neurotransmitter levels. This deficit is also responsible for fatigue and overtraining. Tyrosine helps to restore the optimal level of these neurotransmitters, which brings a rapid increase in performance. Caffeine provides the performance-enhancing effect generally attributed to coffee. Coffee contains hundreds of active ingredients that partially eliminate the positive effects of caffeine.
