Hazelnuts contain a variety of proteins and minerals such as potassium, phosphorus, calcium, magnesium, zinc, manganese, iron and vitamins B1, B2, B6, C, D, E and folic acid. They contain approximately 62% of fats, much of which are mono-unsaturated fatty acids. On the contrary, they are relatively poor in carbohydrates. Therefore, they are also suitable for various diets, low-carb included.
